The Simplot Education Council was formed in the early 1990s to promote educational excellence in Pocatello, Idaho School District 25 area schools .  Because the Company's fertilizer production facility located in Pocatello, Idaho, provides many scientific and engineering resources, the Council has emphasized science experiences in the classroom.   

Mission Statement:
The J. R. Simplot Company's Education Council is committed to assist students in School District 25 in achieving excellence in education.  We will work with the school district and local schools to identify areas that the Council can support and develop helpful partnerships.  The purpose of this Council is to enhance efforts to help students achieve their full academic potential. 

Nominations for Simplot's annual Inspirational Teacher Award are due by March 12^th.  Please complete the attached form (pdf format) and return to Simplot by that date.  Any teacher in School District 25 can be nominated.  Finalists will be honored and the winner announced on April 27th at 7pm in the Highland High School cafeteria.  The public is invited to attend.
