Imitation Silly Putty

MATERIALS
•  Borax
•  White Glue
•  Water

METHOD
Mix 1/4 cup borax in 1 cup water.  Stir the mixture.  The Borax will not completely dissolve. 

In a separate bowl, place 1 teaspoon of water.  Add 1 teaspoon of white glue to the water.  Mix. 

Add 1 teaspoon of the Borax mixture to the glue/water.  Stir and watch what happens.  The substance will be slimy at first, but will then turn into a Silly Putty-type substance. 

Corn Starch

MATERIALS
•  Cornstarch
•  Water

METHOD
Place 2 teaspoons of water in a bowl.  Add 5 level teaspoons of cornstarch to the water.  Mix together.  Watch what happens. 

Pick up some of the mixture and form a ball.  Place the ball on a flat surface and watch what happens.
