SIMPLOT INSPIRATIONAL TEACHER AWARD

The Education Council recognizes the importance of dedicated teachers in the classroom.  Many successful people attribute their achievements to teachers who have inspired them.

Every spring the J. R. Simplot Company sponsors the Pocatello District #25 Simplot Inspirational Teacher Award.  Students and parents are encouraged to nominate their favorite teacher by completing a nomination form.

Following is the criteria used to determine the winner:

  1. Teacher's inspiration of students
  2. Teacher's innovative methods in the classroom
  3. Teacher's commitment to teaching life-long skills

The winning teacher receives a check for $500.  Finalists receive a check for $100.

A committee from the Simplot Education Council chooses the Inspirational Teacher winner and the finalists.

The awards are presented at a ceremony in the spring which all teachers and District #25 students and parents are invited to attend.
