Now coined the “Wells Favuritto", the burrito filled with scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, Simplot Maple City Waffle Fries, cheddar jack cheese and chipotle aioli took home the honors.
According to ESPN, the catcher was blown away by the maple waffle flavor. "That is unbelievable. The maple is a great touch," he said as he took a bite.

The inception of Simplot Maple City Waffle Fries followed a whirlwind tour across the United States, aiming to perfect a unique maple waffle flavor profile. Teams from Simplot’s Global Food division embarked on “The Maple City Run,” traveling through 11 cities and nine states in just five days to deeply understand regional flavor variations.
In September 2024, Simplot Global Food Account Manager Bryan Fogelstrom showcased Simplot Maple City Waffle Fries at the Ace Endico Yankee Stadium show. Fogelstrom comes from a baseball background and had a hunch the product would make the perfect ballpark food.
Fogelstrom, a lifelong Yankees fan, expressed his excitement about this achievement. "You know, it was a big win for me coming from my baseball background and it being the Yankees! Just the history with that team and everything they've done," Fogelstrom said.
Fogelstrom explained he even had some history with the Yankees. "This was special for me to be able to work with them. And funny enough, I used to coach Yankees baseball camps for the Yankees back in my coaching days. It's just a great team to be around, and a great organization."
